Future Maybe:

A Distributed Virtual Desktop (October 31, 2007)

>I have a concept for a new computer lab. Similar to LTSP except with no server. The clients are the server.

Using Linux Virtual Server you make the entire lab 1 virtual server. Then you install X, magically*.

Network is faster than accessing the hard drive. So why not have 2 computers store the memory requirement for some app and then send it to the computer that needs it. P2P computing. Less swapping or redefined swapping.

Magically* might be 1 crazy many input / many output X driver or run X “twice”. Once on the virtual server and once on the clients.

Thank you for reading another one of my crazy ideas.

>Removing Mono from default Ubuntu Desktop CDs. (2007)

Reasoning:
Possible patent issues and including mono by default is a bad strategic decision for Ubuntu.
